On the 4th September 2015, Forget Me Knot and Hazel Skye embarked on a dual package for a lovely couple called The Jacksons, here we began our first Hothorpe Hall Wedding Photography gig.
Hothorpe Hall Wedding Photography
The weather was gorgeous when I arrived at Hothorpe bright and early, so I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to wander the grounds and get some impressive external shots of the venue and surrounding area.
Our journey really began with bridal preparations in one of Hothorpe’s lovely hotel rooms. Frankie, her bridesmaids, mother and some of the kids were all sharing the room. Various hair and makeup professionals were hard at work so this was the perfect time to get started. Hairspray was flying, Bellini was flowing and excitement was aplenty as the bridal party spend the morning together getting ready for the big day!
Now everyone was nearly ready, hair, makeup and dresses all in place, it was almost – but not quite – wedding time. Jamie arrived to the venue in a sparkling white Range Rover and spent a little time greeting guests and mingling before the ceremony. I had the chance to snap some shots inside and out, as well as capture the moment Frankie’s father saw her for the first time in that dress! Finishing touches were underway and there was only one thing left to do now – get down that aisle!
Frankie’s bridesmaid’s were the picture of elegance in royal blue with white bouquets. The children too were all adorable in their wedding attire. The subtle co-ordination of the bride’s blue and white bouquet just added perfectly to the classy affair.
The bride and groom were both incredibly emotional, which worked in my favour, as these pictures show just how much love filled up the hall on that day! Not a single photograph taken was without a beaming smile from the newlyweds and everyone in the room. I’m also glad somebody remembered to bring the tissues!
Just after The Jacksons left the Hall we managed to get some great group shots (confetti included) and some awesome detail shots of the reception room, tables and decorations where the blue and white theme continued through. The speeches were wonderful and hilarious, so that always makes for great photos and great memories.
I’m thrilled that I managed to steal the couple away from the excitement for a walk around Hothorpe Hall grounds. It was a stunning location and the perfect backdrop for our newlyweds. The lovely weather held strong for us too so we got to have a little fun with photos whilst they got a chance to catch their breathe from the days events!
Stepping out on to the dance floor as a married couple is just another ‘first’ at every wedding. I had previously seen an image of Jamie’s parents’ first dance and I just had to replicate this for nostalgia. You can see this in the video below too. Another beautiful moment was that of Frankie’s dance with her father.
I absolutely loved this wedding. On behalf of Forget Me Knot as well Hazel Skye, I cannot thank The Jackson’s enough. Themselves, their families and their guests were all such perfect subjects.
Congratulations on your marriage and all of us here wish you all the joy and happiness in the world!
