The location for our most recent summer wedding was the delightful Brooksby Hall. On the 19th June 2015 Tom and Clare became Mr & Mrs Fowler. As with some of our other weddings this year, we were primarily attending to capture the wedding on film. That didn’t stop me picking up the camera when I could to snap some portfolio images.
The Big Day
Clare spent the morning being pampered and helping to get some of the littler guests ready with her bridal party. There was a great atmosphere and it was lovely to get the chance to photograph some of the finer details of the wedding. I particularly like the personalised dress hangers, they are a great keepsake!
There was just enough time for the groom to get some liquid courage before the ceremony. I managed to gather the groomsmen for a quick couple of shots (of the photographic kind!).
Tom and Clare’s ceremony took place at St Philip and St James Ratby Parish Church. It was beautifully traditional and they were surrounded by a lot of loving family and friends.
The reception soon followed and even the weather kept up the happy atmosphere, with sunshine breaking through the clouds. The wedding party made great use of Brooksby Hall’s grounds by having a variety of outdoor games for the adults and kids. There were bubbles and giant Jenga, as well as a huge BBQ spread for the hungry guests. I also really like the giant photo frame cutout too, it was another unique touch to the day.
Overall, the day was brilliant. I got some great pictures, we had a lot of fun filming and we were very pleased that the weather held out!
Here is the highlight film from Forget Me Knot. Congratulations from us all to The Fowler’s on their marriage.
